About Janice M. Bruni K.C.
Janice has practiced law in Calgary for more than 40 years. Her expertise lies in planning for the transfer of assets upon death, dealing with incapacity issues, protecting the interests of the elderly, and assisting with the appointment of guardians and trustees for adults who have developmental disabilities or incapacity.
Janice represents executors, beneficiaries, and claimants in estate matters. She has been appointed by the courts in Alberta to act as an amicus curiae and as a trustee for a limited purpose to ensure that the interests of adults without capacity are protected.
She assists clients with estate planning and the preparation of wills, enduring powers of attorney, and personal directives. In particular, she helps clients who have children with special needs to plan for their family’s future.
As Counsel, she enjoys her new role of mentoring and supporting the legal team at Bruni Law.
