About Amanda L.C. Bruni
Amanda has been working with her family for a number of years; however, she officially joined Bruni Law as a Barrister & Solicitor in 2014. On January 1, 2020, Amanda stepped into her new role as the proud owner of Bruni Law.
Prior to attending law school, Amanda obtained a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC). She worked as a process engineer in Calgary and overseas from 2007 to 2010. Amanda completed her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Leicester, England in 2012 and was admitted to the Alberta Bar on October 9, 2014.
Amanda practices in the area of estate planning with a focus towards planning for the protection and support of persons with disabilities or capacity issues. She helps families plan for their future while addressing their unique circumstances.
She also practices in the area of estate administration, advising clients on legal issues that arise when someone dies. She represents personal representatives (executors) and beneficiaries with respect to legal obligations and rights while dealing with the death of a loved one.
Amanda has assisted many clients in navigating the process of guardianship and trusteeship for adults who lack the capacity to make decisions. She has a specific expertise in guiding new trustees through their role and has represented many trustees with respect to applications to the court for examination and approval of trustee accounts.
Lastly, Amanda practices in the area of residential real estate, assisting clients in the purchase and sale of their homes.
Amanda is a born and raised Calgarian and a resident of the Marda Loop/Altadore community where she lives with her husband and young children.
